Bidding is now open

Pauleen Micallef was born in 1951 in the United Kingdom but has always lived in Malta. She is married to Anthony, has three children and six grandchildren. She studied art seriously, and brought prestigious Art awards to her School. She has been painting all her life and has attended various workshops with international artists, hailing from United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, South Africa and Poland.

Her works have progressed from impressionist to bold expressionism. Although she paints scenic and floral subjects, her main interest is portraiture and the human figure. Painting these subjects can portray a picture of human emotion, suffering or happiness, which do transmit a message to the viewer.

She is a collector of other artists’ works and never misses visiting Art Galleries wherever she travels. Most recent visit was a ‘Salvadore Dali walk through exhibition’ in Bologna in April’17.

Pauleen’s mediums vary from oil, water, dry and acrylic. Has works in private collections locally and abroad. She is a regular contributor to philanthropic events. Her philosophy:

‘When a painting is hung on someone else’s wall, part of the artist remains there too’.

Part of the proceeds of these works of art will be donated to Inspire.  Paintings can be viewed at Inspire Marsascala (Razzett tal-Ħbiberija) between the 13th and 16th July.  Online auction, and buy now options end 31st July.
